About Me
Quran Malik is an Actor based in New York City. Hailing from the Bronx, Quran began acting at the age of 15 in student-produced one-act plays. He quickly discovered a deep love for the craft of acting and storytelling, making it his purpose to pursue his dreams no matter the challenges.
During his senior year of high school, Quran earned his first lead role as The Lion in The Wiz, which further solidified his passion for performance. He went on to study Theater and Sociology at SUNY Buffalo State University, graduating with dual bachelor’s degrees in 2016.
In 2017, Quran joined Theatre 68, a bicoastal theatre company in New York City and Los Angeles. There he made his Off-Off Broadway debut as Felix in The Chair Afterlife, an original one-act play featured in Theatre 68’s annual one-act festival. Later that year, he began training at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA) in New York, where he studied stage, film, television, and musical theatre. He graduated from the two-year conservatory program in 2019, with credits including Gerald in Time and the Conways and Ernest in Kentucky.
Quran made his film debut as Big Nate in the 2021 short film The Blue Cave, which has gone on to receive multiple nominations and accolades at film festivals both nationally and internationally.
Dedicated, driven, and ever-evolving, Quran continues to hone his craft and pursue the career he knows he was destined for.
